As of the 1st April 2012 a property owner who wishes to install photovoltaic panels on his/her roof requires an EPC showing the energy efficiency of the property to be

'Band D' or better (the average UK property rates as a Band D).

An EPC is required by the PV installer to support the other documentation that he/she will use to validate the installation with the FIT supplier enabling your FIT payments.  You need to contact Simon at Energy Assessment Services (07932 165573) to book an energy assessment survey (usually within 48 hrs of enquiry) and if the property achieves Band D or better the EPC will be completed and delivered to you and the installer.  If, however, your property falls below a Band D rating at the initial survey stage, then Simon will advise you on the best ways to enhance the energy efficiency of the property to Band D.
